Who We Are

We provide information, guidance, and resources,

with the social imperative of advancing economic

empowerment and academic opportunities for

individuals from historically under-served communities.

Our Background

Our Vision

To impact the community and cultivate an environment of equitable economic empowerment and academic opportunities; where socio-economic status is no longer the sole determining factor of a success but rather a person’s capability to achieve.

Born, in 2017, from the vision of Courtney Moore, Kelly-Parker Foundation aims to empower and strengthen its commitment to the community via access to economic empowerment and academic resources.

Named for his maternal and paternal grandmothers, Courtney established Kelly-Parker Foundation as a means of mobilizing impactful and sustainable change in underserved communities. The very change his grandmothers made when relocating their respective families, in the 1950s and 1960s, from southern states wrought with Jim Crow laws and a dearth of economic opportunity.

“And so, lifting as we climb, onward and upward we go, struggling and striving, and hoping that the buds and blossoms of our desires will burst into glorious fruition ‘ere long. With courage, born of success achieved in the past, with a keen sense of the responsibility which we shall continue to assume, we look forward to a future large with promise and hope. Seeking no favors because of our color, nor patronage because of our needs, we knock at the bar of justice, asking an equal chance.” – Mary Church Terrell

As a continuation of the sentiments expressed by Mrs. Terrell, Kelly-Parker Foundation affirms its commitment to uplift under-served communities via the development and implementation of content, resources, and programming.
